Currently around Wellington city and in particular the issues around Te Papa museum have calmed significantly. The issue of deaths by drowning in the ponds has subsided as the museum has chemically dosed the water in the ponds to such a degree that the ducks no longer swim there and ducklings are not seen there any more. We continue to be vigilant on a daily basis looking out for individual ducks or ducklings in any kind of trouble in the parks and on the water front.
